Miracle Weeks at CBC

Wednesday night, September 1st during the service this amazing testimony was shared by one of the young women in the church... 

During our Wednesday night service  CBC member Helena shared about three miracles that the Lord has done for her. She began her testimony first by mentioning that she attended CBC a few years ago but just stopped going to church. But what brought her back to church was the admonition from her sister who has been in jail for over a year that Helena get back to the Lord. Her sister was charged and jailed on Fraud charges and faced a long prison term if convicted. Amazingly no court dates had been set so she just remained in Jail. Helena then mentioned two words of knowledge that she received a few weeks ago in our church service from the Pastor. One word was that God was going to do a work in her family and the other word was about her finding a full time job. The first miracle about her family more precisely about her sister who told Helena to get back to church is that all the charges except one against her sister have been dropped. The one charge required a $50,000 bail. But the bail was dropped to $1,000.00. Her sister is out of jail! The second miracle was that she testified that she had a Full Time job at Ruby Bridges Elementary School but was laid off sometime ago due to cutbacks. But God has made a way for her to return to a full time position teaching at Ruby Bridges through a private organization! Praise the Lord! When the service had concluded because Helena does not have a car and normally walks some distance to get to church she was offered a ride but she indicated that she was borrowing a friends car. Then the Pastor had a specific word of knowledge about the Lord's blessing her with a Mercedes or a BMW and that the Lord was going to favor her with an extraordinarily low price for the vehicle. She smiled and rolled her eyes and said, Actually I have been saving my money and I'm looking to buy a Mercedes by the end of this month for a really good price of $6,000.00!!!All this happened because she took the advice of her sister and came back to church and began pressing in with the Lord! HEBREWS 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

 

WWe had some amazing testimonies that were shared in our services the week of August 15-21 to build your faith and remind all of us that we do serve "A BIG GOD"

 

On Sunday morning, August 15th a word of knowledge came forth  encouraging people to press in and even people who don't normally come to a Sunday night service should come as I would be continuing my series of messages on "A Customized Jesus named Clarence" In this series we are attempting to enlighten people who think that their OK with their religion. They believe in Jesus and pray their grocery list of needs and wants while looking for God's benefits but not really seeking the Lord. Some say that Jesus is who they believe in but is it Jesus the God of the Bible or is it a custom tailored Jesus that allows the person to live the way that they want to live, do what they want to do, is just fine with little time in God's word and no time in church. So we are using scriptures to show what God's intent for our lives vs what our custom tailored Jesus comforts us to believe and that is "I'm OK!!!" "I'm good enough". But are they really?

 

So of the people who rose to the challenge and added a Sunday night service to their schedule a young lady in our church experienced this miracle... On Monday she received a $1000.00 check that she wasn't expecting. It was a grant she was awarding to cover her transportation to and from college!

 

In our Wednesday night service we had this amazing testimony of God's divine protection... An elderly couple in our church  had just gotten home in the evening after having run a few errands. A man approached Mr. Flores with a gun attempting to rob him. A shocked and stunned Mrs. Flores immediately began to pray in tongues out loud.... as she did the man threw Mr. Flores wallet to the ground and ran.

 

In our Friday night service the lord gave me a word of knowledge while I was leading our congregation in prayer. It was one word and one word only..."Furniture". Furniture???? I told our people this is strange the Lord is giving me a word... ONE word ...Furniture Does that mean anything to anyone I asked? Elizabeth jumps up out of her seat saying I was out pricing furniture for my home! Then Gail stood up, "I was out yesterday shopping for furniture yesterday too!" Then a few others started mentioning different pieces of furniture that they need for their home. Esperanza stands and says, " I have a beautiful desk that I want to give away if anyone wants it!" Then Mark stands up, I have a truck so if anyone needs help moving fuirniture let me know. We prayed for favor for everyone needing furniture that either the Lord would get them a bargain or that the item of furniture would be provided to them.  All this from one word... "Furniture".

 

In our Sunday morning service during testimony time a man who just recently began attending our services gave a praise report and then went on to say how much he wants to see the power of the Holy Spirit. He even mentioned how he'd heard of a church in Redding, CA where healings and miracles are taking place. As he spoke I felt the Holy Spirit prompt me to stop him and then I told him... Save You Gas because the same miracles and healings are happening here! This man was hard of hearing and had hearing aids in both ears so I initailly began to pray for his ears to be healed. Because I couldn't devote the entire service to him I sent him to the back of the sanctuary to have Pastor Sharelin and our prayer team leader Lydia and Mark to continue to pray with him. As I began to preach my message I began hearing groans and strange noises and everytime I said the name of Jesus in the message the groans were getting louder. It turns out the Lord wanted to do more than just heal his ears. This man was having an amazing deliverance.  We had an amazing response to our altar call  and then after the service was over after everyone with the exception of a few people had gone he was still laid out in the back of the sanctuary. He was quiet and calm and resting peacefully. I took some people home and when I came back he was still there laid out in the back of the sanctuary. This guy did not budge an inch. Then I went and bought some lunch for my family and a few people in our church that stayed with us and whenIi came back... He was still in the back of the sanctuary still out. I bought him a meal as well and so Mark went to check on him. When he came into the conference room he was all smiles and radiant. When he came back for the Sunday night services he shared his testimony with a big smile and tears in His eyes... "Jesus touched me".

 

The amazing thing was when he said he longed to see the Lord heal and do miracles... he had no idea that the healing and miracle was for HIM!!! Praise God

 

I forgot! Two of our church's teenage young men testified this story a few months  ago and shared it again after hearing the Flore's Divine protection testimony...

 

Joe R. and Ben were out walking when a few tuffs began following them. As they walked faster the tuffs walked faster  and Joe & ben realized uh oh they're after us. As these tuffs got closer to them Joe R. & Ben realized that they may have to fight so they positioned themselves with their fists up. But then one of the tuffs drew a gun on them. Joe & Ben froze. But then all of a sudden one of the tuffs said, "The cops are coming" and they ran off. When Joe R. and Ben looked around there were no police anywhere!

During our testimony time in our Sunday morning celebration on June 27th Five members of our church gave testimony of getting new jobs. Prior to this these individuals had been without work. Remember press in with the Lord and get and remain in God's economy!

Hi Pastor,

 

Just wanted to let you know that yesterday after I read the Email response that you sent Me, I continued to have a heavy day at work, just thinking about everything that has been going on, and my finances, Well at the end of the work day, I decided ( for reasons I don't know) was to check an account of mine that I knew was down to the last $3.83. on Aug 15Th. Because I needed it for all my bills, and the automated service  said  $480.00!  I was so stunned that I hung up and dialed it again, and it said it again, I still didn't believe it, because I was thinking how could that be? because I had emptied it on the 15Th. Well I went to the bank and checked, and  I still was saying could be this be true?, and it was!, I was praising God and went to my car and was praising GOD, still and felt the presence of God in my car. (and was thinking WOW GOD) you do see, know and hear, everything!, Now I was able to buy food for the house and get Elijah the remainder of his school shoes, something that was needed, I can praise God because since the my children have started school, they have had all they needed and more!, God is good.  Terri H.

About a half hour after our Wednesday night service ended and with most of our people having gone home I stood in the front of the sanctuary talking with one of the teenage boys in our church when we both noticed a car slowly driving past the church and then turning around and pulling up in the church parking lot. A man gets out of the car and enters through the glass doors of the church with a great big smile on his face and walks straight toward me. He said, I was driving by the church and God told me to give this to you and he handed me $100.00 in cash. The young man standing next to me was Joe R. and I think his chin dropped more than mine did. I thanked the man and he said, "Don't thank me, it was the Lord!" But I said, "But you were obedient." How many people who felt the Lord tell them  to give $100.00 to a stranger would actually do it... But he did! So I prayed for him and asked for the Lord to bless him for his obedience. As much as I was certainly blessed I cannot imagine what the man is going to receive for his obedience. Ironically, my sermon that night was on "Obedience" even when it sounds crazy! By the way the teenager standing with me was Joe R. and his response was, "Pastor if people don't believe you I'll be your witness... this really happened!

Pastor, I am so happy. The Lord has put a feeling of peace in my life. Though my marriage is not "perfect" the Lord has shown me many signs and revelations of how much worse things can be and how much better it can and will get if I leave it to him.
Now the Lord has moved in my life and home in so many ways. PJ has gotten closer to the Lord. My psoriasis is clearing up. Today, my boss met with me again to discuss arrangements on my transition from a non benefited position to a full time position with full benefits. Out of my boss' mouth she said, "Now it's time, this was my plan for you" Pastor I felt the Lord again speaking through her. 
My husband has been blessed with independent business oportunities that has brought us closer as friends. This peace, even as certain issues arise around me, is such a tear jerking thing. I tear up just thinking of how he is orchestrating things for the positive in my life. I love him so much.  -Annette

Thanks for praying. The numbness in Steven's arms and nausea left after he arrived at the hospital and a CT was done right away . The scan came back fine, they gave him  fluids and meds in IV and he returned home just after 11pm. They are thankful for all the prayers.

  CBC member Traci shared a wonderful praise report during our Sunday morning service on August 1, 2010. Since the time Traci came to the Lord some 5 + years ago at CBC she has been a faithful tither. But over the past few years she has been praying for a better job then the one she has. She works for a storage company and just felt that there was no way to advance. But then the God of Due Season, the God of Suddenly came through and her employer just opened a much larger brand new state of the art storage facility and they promoted her and she will be the manager!

Dear Pastor

I was wondering if you can keep my grandpa in your prayers.  He has had a 4th episode with pneumonia and doesn't want to he here anymore.  He is tired and ready.  They have him home in a hospital bed now and on a lot of medicine.  I'm not sure how much longer he has.  Please pray that the Lord will bring someone to his bedside to pray to him about Jesus.  I don't know his situation and for some reason, I'm not able to get down there to be with him so I'm praying for laborers.  I do know he is a Catholic and my grandmother has strong faith.  But that's all I know.  I've been praying that God would restore his strength but I think God is preparing me to let him go.  Please pray for my mom and dad too because this has been stressful on them also driving back and forth to California every two weeks.  My dad has diabetes so I ask you pray his health holds up.  Thank you so much for all of your prayers.  Love, Michelle

Dear Pastor,

I was just thinking about you...wanting to talk to you. Mary and I had a wonderful blessing this morning.  I had a lady wanting to see an apartment and called Mary to come show her. Anyway, I clicked on the church website and it was so beautiful. I told Mary when she got back to look at it. The music started and Mrs. Harris( the prospect) asked what sight that was , so we told her. She asked where the church is and in talking guess what? She didn't know it but her son was at CBC last night and you guys had prayed with him! So we both were telling her about the church and now she wants to come too.  About 15 minutes later another woman came in and  heard the music. She asked the same questions and said she was looking for a bible study.  We told her about the one we'd had here, the Friday night program at the church, Sunday morning and Sunday night services and wrote them all down for her. So...Two opportunities in one day!!! - Sue Sweezy

TWO AMAZING PRAISE REPORTS WERE SHARED IN OUR SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 21st...

A week ago Anita submitted a prayer request that she and her husband would be able to get into a shelter due to having come into some tough financial times that resulted in their losing their lease on their rental home. Our CBC Ministry of Helps consultant Trish Brown-Ford had been attempting to assist Anita for the past few days. However, on Saturday, February 20th Anita and her husband Virge received a sizable miracle check in the mail. Anita shared that the amount was substantial enough to cause both she and her husband to grab their glasses to make sure they were seeing right. They were! Anita said that now they will be able to pay off their bills and afford to move into a new apartment! Praise God!!!

Then our own Trish Brown-Ford also testified that someone had given her a minivan! She has not had a vehicle of her own since moving to California and had to rely on Public Transportation  and friends to help get her and her children around. Now she will be the one offering her friends a ride!

Then in our Sunday night service we learned why Hope wasn't in church Sunday morning. She was blessed with a trip to Hawaii on the spur of the moment by some friends and she left Saturday night. Aloha!!!

Dear Pastor Steve and all my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, I had a CVR (Stroke) with a Blood Clot,  and an annurism which burst and made it difficult to breathe. It caused me to lose my speech and drool.

God has given me full recovery- my Doctor has me resting for the rest of the month. I'm now walking once a day for about 2 hours. God is so faithful. For all your love and prayers they were heard and deeply welcomed and answered. My love to you all. Also happy Valentine's Day!    Thank you all,  Suzanne Love

In a message dated 1/24/2010 9:53:28 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, Skip  writes:

My brother, Rip, had a stroke on his left side last night and is in ICU. Although, he was treated quickly, he sustained a fair amount of damage.

 

I am requesting your prayers along with those of your prayer groups to strenthen our prayer chain to achieve his total recovery and restoration and that no other weapon formed against him or his family can prosper.

 

But more importantly, please pray for his salvation and the gift of eternal life through Our Lord, Jesus Christ. The seed has been planted but the soil needs alot more work and preparation through prayer.

I want to thank everyone for their prayers and Jehovah-Rapha for his healing power and love. Your obediance to the Word of God is yielding great results. Today, my brother, Rip, was moved from ICU to his own room in a "Progressive Care" unit/area. He has regained some movement in his left leg and can wiggle his toes. Although he is not able to move his left arm yet, it is showing evidence of spasms when he makes his attempt to move it. This is good news because it shows the brain is able to communicate to it. And to add to the praise report, a nurse was able to spoon feed him a little apple juice which shows evidence of his 'ability to swallow' returning. 

Again thank you for your prayers and Please continue to hold him up especially in the area of salvation. 

In addition to my brother, I would ask also to add Pastor Anne Gimenez, pastor of Rock Church in Virginia, Beach and the wife to the late Bishop John Gimenez. I have received limited information stating she has contracted a blood infection and is in serious condition and on a respirator. I have no other information at this time but the Holy Spirit knows all the details and I know will respond to our praying in the Spirit. 

Thank you again for being there and apart of those who I know can contact for prayer. You represent a large number of believers who through your obediance to the Word of God can take authority over the thief's attempts of to steal, kill and destroy.

Nick Zavala who was recently laid off his job received a Word of Knowledge from Pastor Steve during the Wednesday night service January 6th that the Lord was going to give him such extraordinary favor that he was going to fall into a new job and that he would be hired on the spot by his new emploper. On Thursday morning Nick called the church to report that he was recommended to a company whose owner wants him to start immediately and during the conversation by telephone had agreed on a salary and commission package!

Maryalice Gill with daughter Stephanie by her side shared her praise report this past Sunday that someone gave her an HDTV. Since she already has an HDTV she blessed her daughter Stephanie with her old one!   This is the 6th person in the church to testify of being given  an HDTV since Pastor Steve was blessed with his on December 7th! Amazing!!!!

As part of our End of year service that was held on Wednesday, December 30th we had a Debt and Burden Burning Service. Last Sunday, Dori Mato shared that while we stood outside and Maryalice Gill led in prayer for the end of debt and cancellation of burdens and worries off of God's people in 2010 as we each burned our lists, she said she saw three beams of light coming off of the moon light that shone through the clouds over the area of the church where we stood. She said she felt the power of God very strong as we excercised our faith in agreement. After Dori finished shared this two other people Meghan and Caleb spoke up and said that they had seen it too. Praise God!!!

Bob and Susan Kaffana of Long Island, New York have become good friends and prayer warriors for Pastor Steve and CBC since becoming acquainted via email 3 years ago. Susan is a gifted photographer and sometime ago Pastor gave her a word that God was going to bless her with her own business. Since then she launched a Greeting Card business utilizing many of her photographs. Right away she had stores stocking her line of Greeting Cards and most recently she has had two major write ups and her business became the cover story for a local magazine in New York.  Randy Ramirez has been approved and is now living in the Alameda Point Housing.  On Wednesday night Randy testified of being called to be interviewed for  a new job where someone highly recommended him. God's favor!!!

Ramona Ford shared her testimony on Sunday Night November 1st during our Evening Celebration service that the Lord gave her incredible favor to find a new job that is much closer to home than where she is currently working  near Monterey, CA which is nearly a 3 hour drive from Alameda. A word of knowledge came from Pastor Steve a week and a half ago that because she has been so faithful and pressing in with the Lord that after her interview she would be hired right on the spot. That is exactly what has happened and beginning around the 13th she will be starting her new job in Pleasanton. But the story doesn't end there. She will also be earning  even more money with full benefits!

Talk about God's favor! Someone else she knows had applied for the same position more than once over the past several months and never even got a call. But when Ramona applied they called her for an interview within a couple of days and she has the job now. No more long commutes to work anymore. Praise God!!!

Hi Pastor Steve,

Just a quick note. My tooth is better. Thank you for your prayers. I'm just waiting on the Lord for the total healing. As for the business..We finally completed the 10 pages allotted us, Bob has done a great job. We picked up a few sales since it Bob put the site up. 8 boxes so far. Bob being in marketing for awhile has contacted an editor  and is waiting for her to get back to him with some feedback. She had written an article in a local paper a few years ago about my garden and he's hoping that she will pick up this story. We are still waiting to hear from that free lance writer  that contacted me after purchasing a box of my swan cards in a local boutique. She said she wanted to interview me for a possible article in a merchant magazine. She also publishes a calendar every year and has chosen  a swan picture of mine to include as a thumbnail in the 2010 calendar.
It exciting to see the doors that the Lord is opening for us. Bob got a call for me to take some pictures of a nursery and landscape business' work. The wife of this business owner attend our church. I work on Mondays so I asked Bob to go take some pictures of the place and he took them over to the owner's home last night. Bob put the pictures on a disc and showed this guy how he could present a slide show. Hopefully, Bob will get a marketing job out of it. Apparently this guy does little advertising and just wanted some pix to put into a "Photo Album" so he could show his work to potential clients. Bob would love to set up a computer presentation for this guys business,
We'll see...

AG Missionary Gets Prayer Request Answered in One Day!

Dear Friends -

Tomorrow morning at 5:45am I'll check into Sutter Sacramento Hospital
for a heart surgery at 7:30. This four-hour procedure is to correct a
problem - called A-fib - where my heart produces "extra" electrical
signals. These interfere with the main signal, and my cardiologist says
this is the time to deal with it.

The surgery burns the small areas inside the heart that are producing
the extra signals. In most cases, it reduces the risk of stroke as the
patient gets older, and often allows the patient to go off of
blood-thinner and other medications that have their own long-term risks.

Ruth and I are grateful for your prayers. You have 'had our backs" for
years, and we hope you will take a minute to remember us tomorrow during
the surgery, and Wednesday after I come home to recover here.

Thanks for all the prayer. It worked!

I went in around 7:30, and by noon we were done. Dr Stark told Ruth that
the procedure was very successful, and that's confirmed by what the
nurses here in the monitoring/recovery ward say: that there is a strong
steady sinus rhythm with no extraneous electrical signals. No coffee
yet, Starbucks will be the real test.

I slept on and off yesterday afternoon, but was awake from 4pm for Oprah
(interviewing Michael J Fox, whose Parkinson's makes my issues seem
small indeed) and stayed awake until 11pm through the first quarterfinal
of America's Got Talent. My pick: the Kentucky country singer.

I'm feeling alert, no pain, just a bit of tightness in the chest. Should
go home sometime this morning - depending on how busy everyone is around
here. It's 9:30am, no check-out people in sight yet. Gives me a chance
to
write all of you, though, and say thank you one more time for
remembering us.

 Man receives money to pay for eye surgery!

A few weeks ago John was hospitalized after a minor stroke. John's blood pressure was sky high  . Doctors also discovered that John has Chronic Kidney Disease. We contacted CBC and asked for prayer. The next day more tests were run and John's kidney's are fine. His blood pressure dropped and he was released from the hospital. Today John is able to move around, dress himself and then another miracle happened.  John has needed eye surgery for some time but we didn't have the money. We just found out someone is going to pay for John to have this surgery which is now scheduled for this Monday!  Praise God!

Last Friday night (August 7th) a woman visiting the Friday night service received prayer for her knee which was fractured in 1992 with ligaments torn. Since then Arthritis set in and has to walk with a brace and cane. After receiving prayer she was able to walk without the cane although limited... but a few minutes later after having sat down she jumped to her feet and shouted No more pain!!! and walked freely without her cane. She then returned on Sunday for all to see that the swelling in her knee had gone down. She returned again for the Wednesday night service and asked for prayer that she currently lives in San Francisco and since she does not drive makes it difficult to attend our services. She asked for prayer to  find a place to rent in Oakland so she could attend CBC. In our Friday night service she shared that she has found a beautiful room in a beautiful home along Lake Merrit to rent and has already moved in!!!

On Wednesday, July 15th 2009 Pastor Steve was the special guest speaker at Eagles Nest Ministries in Santa Ana, CA. During the service Pastor Steve gave a "word of knowledge" to a single mother who was in desperate need of a place to live for her and her daughter in Santa Ana. Her budget would only allow her to perhaps rent a room in someone's home for about $400.00 a month.  The word of knowledge was that this woman would have extraordinary favor from the Lord in obtaining not only a room in someone's home but that it would be a very nice home exceeding expectation and that she would have full kitchen and living room priviledges.  On Sunday, July 19th the woman testified at the Eagles Nest that she was not only offered one bedroom at the $400.00 a month price but given two bedrooms, one for her and one for her daughter, with full access to the use of this large beautiful home. Praise the Lord!!!

   

MAN SAVES $100,000.00 with Loan Modification

6 YEAR OLD BOY'S LEUKEMIA IS NOW IN  REMISSION !

Back in March, Pastor Sharelin requested prayer for her grandson who was diagnosed with Leukemia. Together we agreed in prayer for a healing miracle. CBC member Stuart Stryker serves in the United States Coast Guard and is stationed here in Alameda. Recently Stu and wife Dina requested prayer after they learned Stu's ship would be heading out to sea in a few weeks and that Stu would be away for over 6 months. This would have been very difficult for Stu and Dina along with their teenage daughter to cope with. They asked for prayer for a miracle that Stu be transferred to a different ship that would remain in local waters here in Alameda. The problem with this happening is that Stu's rank is E-6 and in order to be able to serve on a different ship remaining in local waters he would need to have a higher ranking as an E-7. So in the natural there was no way this was going to happen for him. BUT PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!  A few days ago while Stu was celebrating his birhtday he received a phone call from his Commanding Officer informing Stu that he has been assigned to the ship that will remain in local waters here in Alameda!!! WAIT! There's more... He was also told that he will be second in command aboard that ship!!! The God of more than enough does it again!!!

WOMAN TESTED FOR BREAST CANCER GETS CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH!

Dori Mato testified in the Sunday morning service with a written  Doctor's report indicating that her mammogram indicated that all small masses were benign and non Cancerous. One additional test was required because a small cyst was also found. Tests indicated that the possible"cyst" was actually a small clogged milk duct. Praise God!!! God is a miracle working God!!!

Brain Tumor Completely Removed Through Sinus Passage

 

Sometime ago Sue's son Wesley was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor. We prayed that it wasn't cancerous... it wasn't!!! We prayed that Wesley would not have to undergo radical surgery or chemo or radiation treatments...He didn't! They safely and completely removed the tumor from his brain through his sinus passages!!!   Doctor's Note Confirms A Once Life Threatening Congestive Heart Failure Condition is no longer a threat!

With a Doctor's note in hand, John Theado who suffered for years with congestive heart failure testfied that his once serious congestive heart failure condition which forced him to be frequently in and out of the hospital is no longer a concern for his physician! Praise to the Lord, John has not been in the hospital for nearly three months.

Two testimonies came in from two of our young people who have been blessed and favored by the Lord to be able to purchase their own cars for the very first time. One is Anita who is 18 years old and is busy attending college and also recently became employed by a company who pays good wages. Anita understands now more than ever of the value of tithing. Immediately following the Sunday morning service on February 8th  Anita went out to look to purchase a car for herself.  She was able to purchase a late model pre-owned Saturn and paid $3,000.00 cash for it. She then immediately drove it back to church to ask Pastor Steve to see it and have the vehicle prayed over.

The other is a 19 year old young man who came to the Lord at CBC two years ago. At the time Adam was delivered from addictions and then not long after that met his father who he had not seen before since he was 3 years old.  Adam had dropped out of High School but now has a GED and is attending college  and has a 4.0 grade point average! Prior to the start of the Friday night service Adam showed Pastor his Nissan 300ZX! Adam is overwelmed about how good the Lord has been to him and his family since coming to Christ!

Sight Restored to Eye Going Blind

On Friday, February 6th during our Friday Night Alive service Lucy came forward for prayer. She had just received bad news from her Optometrist about her left eye. For some time she had not been able to see out of her eye. Just one big black spot. Because of this condition she could not even drive at night. There was a bad reason for this. She had a serious eye condition and was also diagnosed with Glaucoma to make matters worse. The prognosis... her eye was going blind. Lucy has worn glassed for years because she has been both near and far sighted. But as the Pastor led the congregation in prayer for her healing, the moment the Pastor took his hand away from her eye she could see out of it. Then Lucy took a leap of faith as Pastor asked her to remove her glasses and read a random passage of scripture from the Bible. When the Pastor's wife opened the Bible and put it in front of Lucy she was able to read it without any problem. That same night she drove her husband and children home from church! As of Saturday, February 14th she is doing fine!

The Power of Church Attendance and the Tithe

   Today I spoke to  the lady that delivers the mail to our home and she was sharing with me that she is a Christian and without excuse confessed that she had not been attending church for some time. As a result of that she had also quit tithing. But recently the Holy Spirit had been working on her and she felt convicted and she repented and began to attend church again and also resumed giving  her tithes and offering. Yesterday, she said that her husband came home from work and told her that sixteen of his co-workers were laid off  but not him!!! She believes it was because she obeyed the Lord and thank God she did. She said her faith is stronger now than before! Praise God

I had been working with a potential client for our company to do some work for them. Today the client signed a new work order with me for $35,000.00!!! Then I got a call from an old client of mine from ten years ago when I was working for a different company. I had lost contact with them years ago. But this individual took the time to find me and today they signed a $75,000.00 work order with me!!!

January 12, 2009 A week or so ago Pastor Steve preached about knowing who you are and it really touched my heart.  For several months now I've been so depressed...my opinion of myself was in the dirt, and I sure acted and talked that way. I called myself praying all the time, but come to think of it., it went like this , Dear 'God, and then a laundry list of whines about everything about everybody else...no praise at all. Pastor Steve 's sermon was about knowing who you are....a child of the King...that He knew you before you were born and how much God loves each of us...I knew all that, I read the scriptures, but when Steve brought it out, it hit me like a rock and my prayers turned to praises. Now here's how my newest miracle came about: We have a little dog, a  "Peke", that  we got about 5 years ago.  Now, she is a man's dog and so far has bitten me 15 times (not that I'm counting.).  Anyway she got very sick and could not pass urine.  Before we knew she had  the stones in her bladder and they've set her up for surgery in a couple of weeks. However, this turned into a real emergency when she couldn't urinate at all. We  walked her, gave her lots of water...just hoping she'd be able to go, but when she stopped drinking, began to whine and tries to relieve herself every 20 or 3 seconds, we knew we were really in trouble.  Your could see pain in her eyes and her breathing became erratic.  I tried to give her pain medicine the vet had given us for her, but she would not take it...She bit my hand.  Something HAD to be done or she was going to die and I had exactly $11 to my name.   I started to pray and it went like this:  Dear Father, I just praise you that I am your child and that you love me so much. Please forgive me for this awful attitude and depression I've allowed these past few months, I know that I was wrong not to trust you more. In the Bible it tells me that that if I ask for anything in Jesus name , we'll receive it and our little Bootsie is in Real trouble.  You know how much we love her and Lord, I just ask that you show me what to do me what I should do. I got up from my chair and started across the room and my husband said " Go get the guard and tell him we will be going to San Francisco in a few minutes.  I don't really want to spend the money, but something tells me we have to take her to All Animals Emergency Hospital. " So, we got everything ready and I prayed as we got in the car for our safety and to keep Bootsie calm .(this was a 10:30 at night) We did arrive safely and were at the hospital for several hours and the said she needed the surgery immediately, but the bill needed to be paid before it could be done. That was over $2000.00. So, I'm still praying hard asking for guidance. Finally the doctor came out and said she'd drawn 160 ml from her bladder with a syringe.  She couldn't be "cathed"  because the stone was stuck. With pain meds she'd be ok until morning and to take her to her own vet. My husband was able to write the check for the ER services from his precious TV fund ($500). All the entrances to the Bay Bridge were closed and it took us an hour to find the only one open. by now it was 1:30 a.m. and the fog was so thick you could hardly see, but God stayed with us and we got home fine. Friday morning we took her her to get the surgery done and they tell us $3,678 and it has to be paid up front.  We told them to go ahead with the surgery and paid another $500.00 deposit and left to come back to Alameda. WHERE WAS THE MONEY COMING FROM??? The hospital called and said the second surgery did NOT need to be done so that knocked the price down to $2000. We had to get  it from somewhere.  But the good part was, they'd already taken her to surgery and it was underway. About one thirty they called and said she 'd done well during the surgery, but we had to pick her up by five. So, I'm still praying and this time it's thanks and asking for knowledge of what to do. My job has been in jeopardy, but I called my boss.  SHE answered the phone.  I just told her I was in trouble and needed $2000.  She said," Have Chuck come pick up a check" It'll be waiting at the front desk.  Now there's another miracle here,   Bootsie is really doing well. She has just a little pain, but she's well enough to be her own self.   PRAISE GOD.                      -Gilda Sweezy UPDATE... The $2,000 provided does not have to be paid back!!!

January 1, 2009 Pastor Steve, I have to share a blessing.  I gave Chuck an electric blanket for Christmas and the day after Christmas it quit working, so I needed to return it, but the packaging and the receipt had been thrown out. So Mary and  I went over to Wal Mart with it in a gift bag, just hoping they'd work with us. The line for returns was 25 or so people and as we stood there discouraged, one of my tenants came up to us to say hello...She'd just started working there. We told her what we we're doing there and she went and got the manager...well they exchanged it without any problem. Maryalice and I were both praying since I'd paid almost $100 for the blanket, but were really discouraged when we were in the slow moving line. BUT, God heard our prayers and sent an angel to help. Unemployed man gets hired Christmas Day!

Dave testified in our Sunday morning service on December 28th that for nearly two months he has been out of work. When he was working he worked a physically demanding job and had to commute 100 miles everyday to get to and from work. But on Christmas Day, Dave said he received a phone call from a former employer asking Dave if he would come to work for him . Now Dave's commute is from his home in San Leandro to San Francisco, a substantial reduction in drive time! Praise God!

Man's foot spared from amputation !

December 4, 2008

John went to Alameda Hospital on Tuesday with a serious foot infection which is related to his Diabetic Condition. By Wednesday Doctors feared it could be necessary to amputate John's foot as there were signs of Gangrene. But in Wednesday night's service we prayed and agreed together for John's healing miracle and that he would not need to have his foot amputated.  John was given a Prayer Cloth that was placed on his foot overnight. That is all the time the Lord needed to create a miracle!!! By Thursday his condition improved and it was determined that amputation would not be necessary after all.  Praise God!!!

Homeless Man Receives Christ and Gets a Room!

Last week Lynn and I brought food and a warm jacket to a man who is homeless and lives under the Fruitvale Ave bridge. He's had a terrible time and yet he is one of the nicest people you will ever know. We invited him to come to church with us last Sunday. During the service Pastor Steve prayed for him and then automatically led Ivan in the sinner's prayer and Ivan received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Then a lady in our church named Dawn said she had a friend who works for an agency in San Francisco and believes she can give Ivan a place to live. Not just a shelter but rather he will have his own room. On Wednesday Lynn and I drove him to San Francisco where Ivan now has a place to live! Praise God. By the way, Ivan is joining our church. Teen Gets New Job with Excellent Pay & Benefits

On Sunday night, October 26th, 2008 ...18 year old Anita gave a testimony of having been hired by a company where she will be paid very well and will even have Medical and Dental Insurance as part of her pay package. Anita attributed her blessing to tithing and that she even made a vow to the Lord that if he would give her favor to obtain funds to pay for her college expenses that she would tithe on it. The Lord answered her prayer and she tithed on it as she promised and thus she also received her new job as well. You can't out give God!

Thursday, October 30, 2008: I want to give praise to the Lord for something wonderful that has happened. My son and I had a falling out about five years ago and we have not spoken since. I didn't even know how to contact him. But today I got a long distance phone call from Oklahoma...it was my son! He said, Mom, I was wondering if you'd like to come to Oklahoma and spend Christmas with us and meet your grandson!!! I didn't know I had a grandson but now I will get to meet him!!! My son is even going to pay for my gasoline to drive there! Praise God!!! God is Good...Always!   Lyndi

  Miracle Favor and Provision

I want to praise God for all the favor I received when I went to San Antonio, Texas for the ADA (American Dental Association)  Convention last October 15 to 20, 2008.  In the airport the allowed weight of luggage is 50lbs and my boss paid $25.00 for the extra 4 lbs  while I got one piece of luggage weighing 79 lbs and another piece @ 93 lbs but I was never charged a penny for the extra pounds of my baggage.  My boss was surprised that I was allowed two bags with extra weight and not charge a single penny and then when we were boarding, the attendant informed all the passengers that Southwest Airlines strictly imposed a one bag and one piece hand carry and I got two hand carry and my purse and still when I pass by the checking attendant, she allowed me to pass without any restriction of how many I am carrying and we got home safe and sound with God's traveling mercy.  Also, I haven't got my salary when we left at 6:00AM of October 15 so I didn't have enough pocket money for my lunch and dinner since it was only breakfast that is included in our trip but since the first day, we were having free dinners not to mention in different hotel like the Grand Hyatt courtesy of Crest/Oral B with sumptuous food, in Holiday Inn for Mexican food and El Tropicana for another taste of Latin food/American cuisine and in Tony La Loma restaurant where they serve big size of steak and seafood.  God really provided for all our needs and all you need to do is to believe and trust him.  I also want to thank God for the protection I received when during our first night, my boss decided to go shopping and so all the shuttle buses bringing us to our hotel are no longer in service since it was already 10:00PM and we had no idea on how to get back to our hotel even though we knew it was just a stones throw away from the convention center.  We tried to ask for direction but most people we asked were also strangers in the place and so I started to pray since it took us an hour walking without finding the right direction.  As we turned a corner, a guy sent by God, helped us find our way and the directions he gave us was exactly the shortest way to get back to the hotel. I  was chosen to participate in one of the studies and got paid just for my opinion on a certain product.  I received a total of 17.5 units out of 22 units I needed to renew my license. 

A STRETCH OF FAITH RELEASES BREAKTHROUGH

Just wanted to let ya know that, God has been faith full in spite of my self, and has shown his love and mercy, I have to say God has surprised me and I stand in amazement, I got my pay check on Friday and just became ill at work and said Lord how am I going to pay my car note and balance on my rent and tithe, and by school clothes for the kids, and I said Lord I am going to pay my tithe and you have to do something, God has always provided for school clothes in the past, even when I didn't have a job so I know he is going to do something. And praise God, I paid my tithe on Friday night and then the Lord made a way for me to pay the balance on my rent and car note and by clothes and shoes for the kids (PAID MY TITHES) first, and God did the rest. Thanks so much for your prayers and believing even when I have to say I didn't see it in the natural.( AT ALL AND BE CAME ILL).  Now I am just thanking God that I have the Kaiser job and he will let me know my start date.  Thanks Thanks Thanks. - Terri H.

SALVATION  WITH DELIVERANCE

I just want to give the Lord all the praise and all the glory for what He has done in my life. Just a few short months ago I was alone and bound by alcohol and drugs. Then one day a woman  invited to go to church. It was Community Bible Church. That day I gave my heart to the Lord and was saved. Then the Pastor prayed for me to be delivered from addiction. A couple of weeks later I received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Someone else was getting prayed for to receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and all of a sudden I'm speaking in tongues! It has been almost 3 months now that I have not had a drink or any drugs. The Lord has set me free! - Patrick

GOD'S FAVOR IS AS GOOD AS GOLD!!!

WOMAN NEAR DEATH MAKES AMAZING REBOUND

A call came into the church office from the daughter of Betty Rogers on Tuesday, June 24th requesting that our Pastor  go and visit Betty  at Kaiser Hospital in Oakland. Betty had suffered from Cancer for some time and now it appeared that she would not make it. She was diagnosed with Cancer of the Liver, along with Ovarian Cancer, and Doctors feared that Cancer had spread to her brain. So Pastor prayed with Betty and we are pleased to announce Betty received Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and Betty was also prayed over for a healing miracle.

On Thursday, June 26th Betty had surgery and the Doctors successfully removed a 9 1/2 pound tumor from her ovaries. Further tests indicated that the Cancer had not spread to her brain after all and there are spots are on her liver but Doctors are optimistic that it can be treated with Chemo and radiation. Praise God... But wait the battle was not over yet...

On Tuesday morning , July 1st Betty's daughter, Lynn called the church office and informed the Pastor to come to Kaiser because her mother had had a serious heart attack and two subsequent smaller one's thereafter. Again it appeared as though Betty would not make it. There were large containers of fluid coming out of her and her oxygen level was extremely low indicating death would not be too far off. But again prayer went up for Betty. By the afternoon Betty had made a remarkable turnaround and late in the afternoon Lyn called to report that Doctors had to sedate Betty because she was too active. She's alert and again the Lord Jesus Christ is to be glorified for this incredible event! Let's continue to remember Betty in our prayers.

Remember the story of the Woman with the Issue of Blood? She crawled through a mob of people to simply touch the hem of the Lord's garment and as a result was instantly healed. Did you ever wonder what would have happened to her if she had just stayed home? Few miracles happen for Casual Christians but take a look at what God did for the  passionate one's...

Wednesday, May 28, 2008... Just prior to the start of the Wednesday night service one of members of CBC came in requesting prayer for  God to deliver her from a terrible Migraine she was having. She said she had been vomiting throughout the day and doubted she would be able to come to church but she decided to come to church by faith believing God would heal her. She received prayer and later in the service during testimony time she said her head had stopped pounding and that the Lord had healed her!

Also in the same service another member came in and also said that she didn't think she'd make it to church because earlier in the day she was helping a friend move some heavy objects and she popped her knee. With knee swollen and in a brace she hobbled to the front of the sanctuary for prayer. The Holy Spirit moved on the Pastor and Congregation as they prayed for her healing. Immediately she could move her leg and said that it had stopped popping but she could still feel some pain. So the Pastor and congregation prayed again and the pain lifted. The woman left the sanctuary and returned minutes later with her brace in her hand praising God that the pain was completely gone. The Lord had healed her leg!

  New Jobs & Raises

Sunday, May 25, 2008...Once again the Lord is affirming his love and covenant promises with the people of Community Bible Church for their faithfulness.  In the Sunday morning service three people testified of having received Pay raises at their jobs and on Sunday night two people testified of getting brand new better paying jobs. One of our teens testified of having once struggled with math and this year received an "A" in Algebra and was given a $50.00 cash award from his teacher for having kept the best notes during the past Semester! God is good!

 The Good Samaritan Blessing

The other day I went grocery shopping at the Food Maxx in Oakland. When I came out of the store I noticed a woman with small children who had groceries in her basket and was asking for someone to give her a ride home. Everyone she approached had some reason or excuse for not being able to help. So I asked her why she needed a ride back home. She said she'd come by Cab to the store but didn't have enough money left to pay a cab to get back home. I asked her where she lived and it turns out she lives not too far from where my husband and I used to live. So I said, Sure I'll get you home. So I did and when I went to drop her and her kids off she handed me $60.00 in cash. I said I don't want to take it. She insisted saying dear I would have had to pay a cab more than that and because you were kind to me, I want to bless you! I'm glad that i was obedient to the Lord. - Lucy

I had not  been attending Community Bible Church for several months but in the back of my mind I knew I would be going back one day and even prayed for God to bless the church and keep the doors open to make sure I could go back. So I'm back!!! and the Lord spoke to me to give an offering to the church and I did. Right away I got blessed and in the Wednesday night service on May 14th I shared how I am getting blessed with two miracle checks for a good amount of money. A Testimony from Queen Mary (alice)

I just want to thank our church for having chosen me as "Mother of the Year" on Mother's Day. I was really surprised and it was a totally blessed day for me. I was so happy that my kids came and afterward my family took me out shopping and I got blessed with lots of gifts.

I also want to thank God because we have been praying before each offering for a decrease in expenses. Recently my daughter needed some dental work done and we don't have insurance. I was bracing myself for a bill that would be in the hundreds of dollars. But God gave me favor  and the denisit only charged me $71.00!!!  So I praise God for being so good to me.

 God Spares Baby's Life

 Man loses 32 pounds in  10 Days

John gave his heart to the Lord on Easter Sunday at CBC. He has suffered from Diabetes and Congestive Heart Failure for some time. On Sunday, April 27th John had planned to come to church but his body had once again bloated due to his heart condition and didn't think he could go. But when the time came for his girlfriend (Lynn) and her grandmother to leave to come to CBC John decided to come to church after all to get prayed for. So during the morning service the Pastor and the congregation prayed for John to be healed and that the fluid in his body would be released. Well relief came right after the service and by the next day John had dropped 10 pounds. By Friday of the same week, he dropped another 10 pounds and as of Wednesday, May 7th John has lost 32 pounds! Praise God.

In addition to that, John's Diabetic condition has improved as well. There were times his blood sugar was at a dangerous 4 level. Even with insulin he would be at a 3 level. But God has done something amazing. For the first time his blood sugar has been as low as 147 and averaging about 187. The highest level he has been is in the 2's. John is looking forward to seeing everyone in church this Mother's Day to see for themselves what the Lord has done!!!  -Lynn

UPDATE>>> Monday, May 12th... To date John has lost a total of 35 pounds. John went to the Doctor today and the Doctor was amazed how low John's blood sugar has been as a result the Doctor has changed John's medication. John is so excited about what a difference a relationship with Jesus Christ has made for his life!

 MIRACLE MONEY FOUND

Our family has claimed the word that was given to our church "The Day of the Anointing is upon me" and reading Isaiah 55. Oh, Let me share with all of you   God has been doing it already. My husband has been finding money in clothes he hasn't worn in a while, like $50.00 in pants  and $15.00 in another. I found $10.00 in my jacket and $25.00 when I was out enjoying the day. I found $7.00 in the laundry, my son found $8.00 in his wallet he has lost for two months in the house!

We have also been given the blessings of gifts and good surprises. Our neighbor who we really don't know too well came to our door and blessed us with a huge bag of Romaine lettuce, spinach, and other greens. We use so much it was unexpected and who would have thought... but only God knows. - Lucy & Mike

 People's lives impacted at the CBC Home Bible Study

 102 Year Old Woman Healed from Pneumonia & Heart Attack

Longtime Member of Community Bible Church that we have come to affectionately know as Grandma Dessa was hospitalized on a Friday afternoon  in late February with Pneumonia. Then on Sunday morning she suffered a Heart Attack. The Pastor led the congregation in prayer for her that morning. Following the morning service the Pastor came to the Hospital to find an awake and alert Grandma Dessa sitting up in her bed. Prior to the prayer that was not the case but God answers prayers.

By the following Thursday Grandma Dessa was out of bed sitting in a chair and on Saturday she was sent home. She grew stronger and stronger with each new day and by March 11th she was able to attend the Easter Sunday service at Community Bible Church with her granddaughter and boyfriend. On this Sunday morning her grand daughter re-committed her life to Jesus Christ and her boyfriend accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Today Grandma Dessa is stronger than she was prior to her illness and even a chronic cough that she had suffered from for some time is completely gone. In the Sunday morning service on April 27th at CBC Grandma Dessa testified and gave God all the glory for what he has done not only in her healing but now her grand daughter is back with the Lord. The grand daughter, Lynn and boyfriend, John will be assisting in our new E-Team 2 street evangelism ministry providing some food for the needy.

 TITHING PAYS OFF

Just a quick note ..to share a blessing. Today we received a check in the mail for $2637.77.  It is the payout of an insurance policy that Bob's mom bought many years ago from an insurance agent that sold policies door to door. We didn't know that the policy existed until Bob got a call about 2 weeks ago. At the time they said it was only worth a couple a hundred dollars. This combined with our Tax return ($2,010.00) will pay for the second half half of our taxes. God is so very good.   We are truly BLESSED!   Have A Wonderful Easter!   Susan

HEALING TESTIMONY

Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

       My name is Lucy Rodriguez. I am a member of Community BibIe Church Assembly of God.  I would like to share my testimony with all of you. I pray it brings strength and faith to you, because God is able and He is our healer.

On Monday, July 30th, 2007 I was at home with my kids doing our "House Cleaning Party" (Ha-Ha!) when my left knee gave out on me and popped out of place. I was in pain and I immediately began to pray and give glory to God. The pain began to subside. But then it got swollen and it was hard to walk on it. So I called my hasband at work and asked if he would take me to the Doctor.

 I arrived at the Doctor's  office and she said that it looks swollen and bad but not to worry because she was going to give me some medicine, she also wants me to ice it, stay off my legs for awhile and go and get X Rays done right after my visit with her.

But you  know that between and after all this I was praising, thanking and giving glory to God because, "By His stripes we were healed".  He is the Great Physician  and He is able to do exceedingly above all that you ask or think.

So you know that I was asking Him to completely heal me and also I was thinking  that I made need surgery. So I am grateful, joyous and excited to share with all of you that HE'S DONE IT!!!

I went to see an Orthopedic on August 3, 2007. She had my X-Rays and they showed that I had torn ligaments. But a few days later I went back for a follow up and a second set of X-Rays was taken and God has done a healing! So you know He is able.

But I also want to share  that on the day of July 27th 2007 I had gotten prayer for my knee at church because I could not walk on it or bend it, it had gotten extremely swollen and praise God  my Pastor and congregation agreed  that our Lord Jesus Christ was going to do the healing and let me say, He Did!!! Amen!!! I just needed the faith to believe it.

Well let me tell you I did, my faith was stretched as much as it could be stretched because in the month of June 2-9, 2007, I was blessed with the money for plane tickets to go see my momma and family in San Antonio, Texas , who I haven't seen in 14 years.

The story and the miracle starts off like this...

My momma is only 47 years old and she was in the Hospital nearing  death. She was sick because a cyst the size of a golf ball in her left hand had gotten swollen and infected. She also had a whole lot of bleeding in her head and in her heart, and her liver was gone completely, you know; no good. Her kidney's  were shutting down. She was infected with staff, fungus, bacteria and other infections  through her whole body. She was on a breathing machine , IV's and a heart monitor. It wasn't looking good for her, she was dying. But we kept praying and just waiting and standing on God's word. It was scary and a little fearful.

But I praise God that I was used by Him to be an encourager, to build and bring strength and to have my faith tested and stretched as well. Let me tell you that on the day of June 9th, 2007 I was due back homeso I went early in the morning to visit my momma. Well... GLORY TO GOD and all praise to Him that as we walked in my momma's room she was no longer on any machine! She was sitting up, talking, and laughing! The Doctor's came in and had these big smiles on their faces with a look of "Like Wow" in amazement.

I know that I know it was all God. She no longer had the bacteria and infection spreading anymore! It stopped completely and was leaving her body. The bleeding stopped completely also. All swelling in her arms, hands, feet, and legs went completely. She is now doing well. The Doctor's  were then  able to do the surgery on her hand and on her  heart.

She's glad and I am glad that she's doing well. She will be going home soon after two months in the hospital. I thank God for Doctors and Nurses. They did  all they can do for patients. But you know that everything else was in God's hands.

He brought us this miracle. He hears our cries, our prayers, and knows our heart and our needs. God is never early or late but he's always on time and He delivers in times of need. Listening to God pays! Doing things God's way is best. Saints! Don't faint! God is able to do exceedingly above all that you can ask or think. Do not despise the day of small beginnings.

So even with me and my knee being in pain and swollen I had to know and believe that God was going to heal me. Faith is what we need and should have. Do You?

God is faithful even when we are not. I now have a greater appreciation for God and more faith than ever. But you know what? The enemy was trying to steal my healing! He tried but He failed . God is greater and bigger!

My husband and I have received four prophesies spoken over us that we will be blessed with a house. It didn't happen in a day, a week, a month, nor a year. What I'm trying to say it doesn't always happen right away. Our time is not God's time. We can't run ahead of God, ignore Him or even try to do things on our own. We hear all the many sermons in church about faith, it brings miracles, healing, not giving up, or giving in to the enemy.  The list goes on but Saints are we listening, applying, and doing them.

After many, many  years our breakthrough had finally broken in. Prayer, standing and waiting with patience is what we did for a long time.

My husband shared with me some good news on Monday, July 30th, 2007 that we might be getting a house in a year and that it would be bought for us and we wouldn't have to pay  the money right away, but a little here and a little there.

But did you know that my husband had this good news with him waiting to share with me on the same day the enemy tried to steal my healing?  But God says "He will rebuke the devourer for our sakes".

So let me say that God is worthy. He's worthy of all praise and glory. Let me say that if we are unfaithful He still remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself. 2 Timothy 2:13

God bless, stay encouraged, and praise God always through it all. The storms, the circumstances, and the trials. Stand firm, believe God's word. He will never leave you nor forsake you and even if we turn our backs on Him, He will not turn his back on us. He will see you through. He is our strong tower , rock and shield, and a present help in time of need.

You have to know that, believe it, and when you've done all... STAND!

 CBC KINGDOM KIDS TEACHER GETS NEW FURNITURE FOR FREE!

This is so like God... He knows everything that you need, even when you don't pray for it!  Chuck and I just renewed out vows and we are not the richest people in the world, but we went shopping at the "Thrift Stores" for new  used furniture  because ours was " Shot"...even at the Salvation Army the chairs we wanted were more than we could afford and we had to arrange for delivery...Well, today we were in the office of the complex we manage and a man came in and said ,"could anybody here use new furniture.  I have furniture that is new that just came off a boat that sold and the people don't want it"  I went out and  looked, thinking I'd have to pay SOMETHING!.  The couch and   two chairs are all brand new. the cushions still wrapped in plastic. So I said How much? and they said...FOR FREE!!!! I almost fainted. Needless to say,  I was flabergasted!  Tonight we have  the living room I've dreamed of for years.  Surgery on Leg Ulcers and Skin Graft Goes Well

I had surgery on Mar 8 to have skin grafts put on my leg ulcers that I have been dealing with for 3 years now.  I went to the doctor today (Thurs. Mar 22) and the skin grafts have taken, the doctor is pleased; I can even take the bandages off for short periods of time to let air get to the sites.  the doctor touched the healing ulcers with his finger and I was expecting great pain as I have had in the past.  To my amazement it did not hurt.  I praise God for healing my leg and I know that this will be a good summer for me (I will get to go to Sue's swimming parties after church.)  Thank You Jesus!!!

FATHER AND SON REUNITED!!!                                                                   

Praise the Lord and pass the ammo! Smile! Anyways, At one of the services Pastor Steve  brought Adam to the front and  and asked if Adam had contact with his father or knew where he was. Adam had not had any contact or relationship with his his dad for 13 years. Pastor Steve then felt led to give Adam the Father's Blessing and put his coat on Adam and prayed for God's favor and blessing on Adam's life. The very next day Adam's father showed up at our apartment and repaired Adam's  sister's car and then Adam and his dad  just started hanging around together and Adam went to be with his dad for a couple of days. Adam's dad manages The Alano Club/ NA, AAA for people in recovery. Then His dad ended up in one of our services at our church CBC. I would like you to know these two have not been around each
other for 13 years. So let me tell you this is a great praise and those two are butting heads but have had fun at the same time. Only God can do this!  Kat

Miracle Update... For the past several months of 2008 Adam has been going to school to learn to become an Auto Mechanic!!!
 

DAUGHTER AND GRANDSON SPARED IN CAR ACCIDENT

Dottie called the church yesterday afternoon to tell me that her daughter and grandson were at the Emergency Hospital in Fremont. It appears for some reason that Dottie's daughter doesn't remember what happened she slammed into the center divider on the freeway and the car rolled over. Three doors would not open but finally one did and Dottie's daughter and grandson Mateo got out in the nick of time as right after they got out the car caught on fire. The car was totalled. Her daughter had a large bump on her head and Mateo has bleeding from the mouth and nose and it wouldn't stop. We prayed. Dottie came last night to testify that her daughter is OK with just a bump and they got the bleeding to stop for the little boy Mateo. They ran tests and there was no internal bleeding but that any damage was done to his mouth from impact. So Dottie would need to take him to the Denist on Monday (Today) to see how much damage was done.So we all prayed again. Dottie just called moments ago to tell me that she had taken Mateo to the dentist. Everything is fine. His gums are swollen right now but no injury or damage to his jaw or chin, or teeth. She asked what the church account number was and she said that she had so much favor that the dentist is not even going to charge her for a follow up visit after the sweeling is all gone. So since she was prepared to pay the Denist $200.00 she is giving it to the Lord instead!!! Praise God!!!   Dottie

TODDLER RECEIVES MIRACLE HEALING FROM SEVERE BURNS

To our church family in Ca. You will all be pleased that our little Izzy is doing fine and is almost fully healed from the 2nd degree burn on her hand. She will not need a skin graft or anything the prayers that went out for her were answered and God is so generous with his healing miracles. He is the great
physician and he has done his work for IZZY. Thank You all for your prayers and we all truly miss you and CBC.  Elise

ADAM GETS SAVED!!!

I stand in Awe, my cup runneth over, always Glory to God, In Jesus Christ Name,
Amen. I am so thankful for promises and God keeps his promises, if we are
patient and trust in him with all our hearts. I am so grateful to the Spirit for
teaching me to claim promises in Jesus Christ Name, Amen. I love when the Spirit
Stirs our Remembrance to the promises we claimed so long ago, w e may forget but
he never forgets. I embrace a All Powerful and Awesome God, I thank my Lord
Jesus Christ for endurance, and for his grace that is so precious. Glory to

WOMAN BLESSED WITH A BRAND NEW START

My name is Rodessa and I was born in Berkeley, California.  I was raised in the Oakland/Hayward Bay Area.  I have three beautiful children.  In August 2000, I had two strokes and continued to have many seizures after that.  Even though I attended Community Bible Church Assembly of God in Alameda, I needed a change of environment and lifestyle.  So, on April 30, 2005, I moved to Fresno to live with my two nieces LaShona and Marva. 
My good friend, Sara, suggested that I call the Evangel Home everyday until an opening for a bed became available for me.  My sobriety began the day the Evangel Home provided a bed for me.  I am now very proud to announce  that on May 13, 2006, I celebrated my One Year landmark of being clean and sober.  While I was still at Evangel Home, my friend Kim encouraged me to accompany her to the Samaritan Women Center to attend classes.
I currently attend Cornerstone Church on a regular basis.  On March 1, 2006, I moved into my Section 8 Housing, with the help of Case Management from Samaritan Women.  God has blessed me with this larger home from the studio apartment I had been residing in since last August.  Now I have a home where my family, children, friends and loved ones are welcome all of the time.  How could it get any better?
It's been a busy year for me.  I have been to over one hundred classes & activities, including the incentive parties, luncheons, praise dance, and participating in Fun Fellowship Friday Events.  Oh yes, Connie & Renee ... always, always, always make me feel very loved by saving me a front row seat  right between them for class!

Anger Resolution, Freedom from Depression & Godly Wisdom in Dating Relationships (w/ Mark Baker, Biblical Counselor)  4. Successfully riding the Fresno City Bus to every place in town, as needed to fulfill my obligations (Ha! Ha! Ha!).
I'd like to extend special love and thanks to all of my family, children and friends for bearing with me through all the hard times.  I have trusted in God to guide me to the many organizations that have helped me along the way.  The love and thanks I feel for everyone is larger than the many wonderful blessings I have received during this last year.
My scripture is 1 Peter 5:7  "Casting all your care upon Him, for he cares for you."  I love all of you with all my heart.

Healing From Cancer

I GOT IT! I GOT IT! can you really believe????? O Thank God, there is no sign of cancer. The tumor is still there, but it is completely cancer free. Dr Consorti says we'll check it in 6 months and unless there is significant growth, we'll just let it alone!!!!!!! Wednesday night will be a REAL celebration. Thank you for your prayers. I've been trying to call you for a couple hours and will continue to do so, but I HAD to get this message to you . Love you all, SUE
