On Sunday, August 29th, 2010 thirteen of our new converts received Water Baptism. A great big "Thank You" to CBC member Vickie Guerrero for granting us permission to use the Surfside Apartments swimming pool where she is the Apartment Complex manager. Also many thanks to Annette for blessing our congregation with an incredible feast after the service. Also thanks to Eva and Gail and others who provided fruit and vegetables and for our hostess committee who did a tremendous job getting everyone served quickly and efficiently.

Annette received her inspiration to bless the entire congregation with a stunning passage of scripture that fit her situation. Since Annette joined our church her three grown daughters , two small sons, and her daughter Arielle's boyfriend have come to the Lord and on this day received Water Baptism . Acts 16:31-34 TThey replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household." 32Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. 33At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized. 34The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole family.
Why every believer should be baptized in Water...
According to the Bible, everyone (adult or child) who recognizes his or her need of a Savior and then repents and believes in Christ should be baptized (Acts 2:38,41; 8:36-38)
The ordinance of baptism by immersion is commanded by the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as Saviour and Lord are to be baptized. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
